Paper bags, receipts, paper towels, card board boxes, packaging materials, coffee filters, letters from friends, pages from my sketchbook, Kleenex, toilet paper, ashes.

"Gather" was created during a one month residency in the mountains of Oregon. The pelts were made entirely from my own by-products collected during my stay there. Each day I would save all of my paper wastes and collect the ashes from my wood stove. The papers were then blended down into a pulp and screened to make the pelts and antlers. The ashes were mixed with binder to cast eggs and bones out of. All of the pelts are representative of species native to the area I was living in.
